  • Newest Local Currency Regulations

    Dear Alam Bahasa customers,

Bank Indonesia has now issued BI Regulation No. 17/3/PBI/2015 on 31 March 2015 (PBI 17/3), which explicitly requires parties to use Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) to settle a wide variety of transactions within Indonesia, and clarifies the Currency Law exemptions for international financing and commercial transactions.

The new regulation has a clearly stated policy objective to mandate the use of IDR for most domestic transactions, and reduce reliance on foreign currency. PBI 17/3 also requires parties to state prices in IDR only.

Hence, starting the 1st of July 2015, general course fees in Alam Bahasa are stated in Rupiah, and the course payments should be made in Rupiah.

Thank you very much for your kind attention and cooperation.

    Best Regards,

    Alam Bahasa
